Research Progress on Variable Rate Operation in Precision Agriculture

Variable rate operation in precision agriculture had great significance for environment protection and promoting sustainable development of agricultural production.The research progress of variable rate fertilization and seeding in and out of China was presented and technical characteristic and systems operational mechanism of each study was analyzed.Two different thoughts about variable rate operation were put forward.Therefore,theoretical foundations and practical analyses were provided for further development on technologies of variable rate operation in precision agriculture.
