An Improved Method of Sphere Decoder Algorithm

This paper first introduces BLAST heuristic methods of decoding in MIMO systems and the sphere decoding of CL. Then a new improved method of sphere decoding algorithm is proposed, which integrates lower complexity for heuristic methods of decoding with better performance for sphere decoding algorithm. The improved algorithm could get significant reduction in complexity with certain loss in performance. Simulation results have proved the efficiency of this improved method.
