A Median Filtering De-noising Based on Wavelet Domain

In this study,the different characteristics of impulse and Gaussian noises under the condition of wavelet transform are addressed. Median filtering is applied to the high-frequency sub-band images within the wavelet domain. Simulation result shows that this method is effective in removing the impulse and Gaussian noises in the images,as well as in preserving a good edge detail of the images,hence,a good de-noising effect.
