A method of image segmentation for new veins growingon the cornea

The paper proposes a method based on histogram and morphology to segement the images with new veins growing on the cornea. The results are used to quantitatively analyse veins area and density after the segementation. An experiment and its results are provided, and error from operation of choosing reference points is discussed. The experiments also show that it is a fast and effective method.
