The Application of Disk Array in the Film & TV Production

Taking the current demand of disk array application in the film TV production as consideration, the text analyses the principle of redundant array inexpensive disks, space utilization ration and the influence of security for the film TV production, afterwards drawing a conclusion that, with the N -1 disk utilization ration, read/write optimization speed for a great amount of continuous data, and higher security, RAID 3 better suit the demand of disk array application in the filmTV production. Furthermore, the text also analyses the problems of disk array application in the filmTV production, which is, the problem of mistake tolerance, as well as the issues of performance and management. After researching the characteristics of network attached storage, together with the superiority of direct attached storage, this text puts forward the solution schemes of network connection storage.
