Design of Oil Pressure Supervisory and Protection System for Power Transformer

The limitations of mechanical sudden oil pressure relay were analyzed.And an oil pressure supervisory and protection system for power transformer was designed,it took microprocessor as the core,and fiber was used for signal transportation.The system has the functionalities as follows,protection for sudden oil pressure rise,alarms for high or low oil pressure and data storage.The system uses a USB disk to store the longtime oil pressure data,then which can be imported to the oil pressure analysis system,running on PC.These data can be stored,managed,plotted and analyzed by the analysis system and can be viewed as a new information resource for the transformer states and faults diagnosis.Its validity and practicability are proved by the experimental and field application results.
