Research on TCP-Friendly Multicast Congestion Control Algorithms

As multicast applications are widely used on the Internet, multicast congestion control becomes more and more important. In this paper, the main tasks of multicast congestion control are discussed first, and then several kinds of algorithms are compared. Finally some problems are presented and a novel ratebased TCPfriendly multicast congestion control scheme is provided.
