Improvement on the TCP Congestion Control Slow Start Based on the Bandwidth Measurement

The TCP congestion control slow-start has one problem that the send-velocity change great and the capability of the network is low.This paper analyses the limits about the improved slow-start algorithm,then advances an improved algorithm of phase-divided smooth slow-start based on the bandwidth measurement,and gets a flexible slow-start parameter model,realizes the auto-adaptation parameter setting.The simulation results show that the lost probability of multi-packet in the congestion windows has greatly decrease and the capability of the network transfer has obvious improving.
