Hospital's Informatics Calling for CIO

While informatics develops to a certain degree, CIO will become a necessary tendency and also a sign of the informatics degree of an organization. In our country, CIO mechanism is now positively promoted in enterprises. The author believes that adopting CIO into hospital is an objective need for the development and construction of hospital informatics. In order to advance construction of hospital informatics, the author introduced concept of CIO, illustrates the necessity and significance of establishing CIO in hospital, and explained the position and function of CIO.
