Research of improved congestion control strategy based on bandwidth estimation in Ad Hoc networks

In order to solve the problem of traffic congestion that always occurs in multi-hop Ad Hoc networks,a congestion control strategy based on improved bandwidth estimation is proposed.It can improve effectively the precision of estimating available bandwidth by combining the first-order digital low pass filtering algorithm and the arithmetic average value filtering algorithm.By using the algorithm of active queue management to implement the congestion control,which realizes the selective package abandoning tactics,more excellent controlling effect can be reached.The results of experiment illustrate the algorithm has good performance on many important indexes.
