Method of retrieval 3D models based on spherical harmonics

How to extract the rotation invariant feature and improve the stability of the noise is still an unsolved problem of the area of content-based 3D models retrieval.The point cloud data are extracted from the 3D models surface by casting radiative lines from the center of model.Using spherical harmonic to the point cloud data can receive a set of rotation invariant feature vector and reduce the effect of the surface noise influence and improve the retrieval precision.Experimental result shows that the proposed method receives a better retrieval performance.
