The Comparison of Three Online Free Patent Databases

This paper introduces the main contents of three online free patent databases of USPTO, esp@cenet and IPDL, and from three aspects of patent coverage, retrieval performance and their application in patent retrieval, makes comparative analysis on the three databases.
