Theory and Application of Polar Code

Based on the channel combination and split,when the number of combined channels goes indefinitely large,some of the channels become perfect,while others become completely noisy ones,that is,the channel polarization.Based on this channel polarization,the polar code could be constructed.By choosing the better channels,the polar code could reach the Shannon limit.The polar code theory includes the basic concepts,structure,encoding of polar code and SC decoding.Finally,a way to apply the polar code in the source coding is given,which could bring about performance improvement at little cost of the coding rate.
