Inter-Turn Short Circuit Diagnosis of Stator Windings Based on Improved Fractal Box Dimension by Wavelet Packet Analysis

Based on many deficiencies that exist in stator winding fault of synchronous generator diagnosis,such as the signals were difficult to extract,easily influenced by the noise. Firstly,analyzed the magnetic field characteristic transfers of stator windings' inter-turn short circuit,used wavelet packet analyze the excited current,wiping out the noise. Secondly,quoted the fractal box dimension as the broken character. Thirdly compared the FBD of the noise and the con-noise signals. At last sum up the stator windings' inter-turn short circuit of synchronous generator diagnosis rules. Experiment results showed this method was useful and efficient,and easy to be used in engineering.
