Cylindrical panoramic image stitching method based on RANSAC algorithm

RANSAC algorithm can only be suitable for planar image registration.Aiming at the limitation,a set of cylindrical panoramic image stitching algorithm was designed.This algorithm can make RANSAC suitable for cylindrical image stitching.The whole algorithm utilizes the relationship of matching feature points between the two images to resolve the rotation,vertical migration and crescent defects in cylindrical image stitching.The experimental results show that the present method can correctly find the overlapping location of two images and finish automatic stitching,and has good effect in the generation of panorama image based on cylindrical projection.
