Content-based image retrieval and its application to water conservancy

An image entropybased retrieval method is proposed in this paper. The definition of image entropy and some relevant concepts, such as color feature extraction, similarity measurement, and multiprecision retrieval, are introduced. The method is applied to water conservancy engineering image retrieval, and the specific techniques for the realization of the method are also given. Furthermore, an engineering image retrieval system used for flood control decisionmaking is designed.
