Design and Simulation on Mine Wireless Sensor Network MAC Protocol
Xing Zhou · Coal science and technology · 2009
In order to improve the network performances of the wireless sensor network applied in the underground mine,to reduce the congestion at the sink nodes and to ensure the reliability of the underground wreless communication, the multiple-tree theory was applied to improve the S-MAC protocol.A cross layer protocol was designed based on the multiple-tree protocol. To simulate the protocol with the underground mine application environment. The simulation results showed the improved protocol would have better features to reduce the congestion and improve the transmission speed.
