Hao Henry Wang · Computer and Modernization · 2002
With the development of the computer and the communication technologies, the fixed network cannot meet the needs of the people. The demand of the mobile computing is increasing rapidly. There are many protocols to be used in building the Wireless Personal Area Network(WPAN). In this paper, the bluetooth and the IrDA are discussed principally. They are used in different areas. In the last paragraph, the feasibility of combining the two technologies is mentioned too.
