Selection of Reasonable Planting Density of Populus euramevicana cv.'i-214'

Based on different densities of 17-year-old Populus euramevicana cv.'i-214' by randomized block design,according to tree height DBH increment,using forestry statistical software to conduct volume calculation,optimum planting density were determined by stock volume under different densities.Result shows that: although volume per tree under experimental density of 4 m×6 m is not the highest,but the timber volume per hectare is the biggest,being 260.74 m3·hm-2;trees in the forest with this density according with big-diameter timber standard is the most,being 87 trees.So density of 4 m×6 m is optimum density with high-yielding.
