The paper presents a method to recognize the speaker's identity by combining wavelet transformation and neural networks. In the approach,at first, wavelet transformation is used to pick-up keynote periods array of sound signal, which represents the speaker's phonic characteristics and other acquired characteristics, and then, artificial neural network is used to categorize recognition. It is proved by experiments that direct exporting binary system coding, which represents the speaker's identity,by applying manual neural network, can eliminate tedious data matching operation and insure higher right ratio.
