Remote Real-time Monitoring System Based on B/S Architecture

Aiming at the limitation of C/S architecture, the paper presents a B/Sbased approach to distribute realtime monitoring data coming from multiple data sources.A model, which consists of workspace data concourse server, middle data application server,database server,Web server,and ActiveX service plugin,is given.An application protocol to reliably transmit realtime monitoring data is designed.And the article proposes an algorithm to automatically adjust the grading precision of the data transmission to fit the variant bandwidth. The model and the algorithm are accomplished and verified in a safety monitoring system with multiple workspaces and multiple data sources.
