STUDY ON THE MODE OF COUPLED APPLICATIONS WITH GIS AND ENGINEERING MODEL

The spatial analysis functions in current GIS are so limited that cannot support so many applications of engineering model. A large majority of engineering models being used with GIS are not developed with consideration to GIS. Consequently, engineering analysis model should be integrated with GIS functions to extend specific GIS-based modeling. In order to make good use of GIS coupled with engineering model, based on analyzing the current coupled way, Open GIS coupled method is put forward, which can make data shared and seamless integration efficiently.
