Based on the concepts related to elliptic curve,the safety foundation of elliptic curve crypto system and common methods of attack were discussed.Because elliptic curve crypto system only depends on the safety of the security of elliptic curves,the principle and the corresponding algorithm when select safety elliptic curves were given in this article,and the incomparable advantages which only elliptic curve crypto system have was analysed.
