Modification and application of starch esterified by hydrophobic groups

Traditional modified starch has single hydrophilic property,starch esterified by hydrophobic groups has arisen more and more interests.The present situation and the problems of starch esterified by hydrophobic groups which include alkyl fatty acid and alkenyl succinic anhydride were analyzed.It was put forward that the important points were to produce high substitute degree,low costs,and environment friendly products.
