A new type of detection and counting method for broken stone materials

To raise efficiency and economic benefits of stone materials grade matching in industrial equipment,an image processing method is proposed to inspect ratio of large and small stones in mixed stone materials and to regulate ratio of stone materials of coutinuous charging equipment.Based on basic characteristics of broken stones image,an image processing method including edge detection,edge growth and oblique side lighting is put forward.Edge cut and characteristic parameter evaluation of broken stone materials were achieved.The technology could replace traditional broken stones screenig method,thus,performance of industrial equipment will be improved and cost of stone materials grade match will be decreased.
