Review on the Calendar Research of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom

AbstrcatThe calendar by the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom issued the calendar was cursed by the Qing Dynasty and was paid attention to by people globally. By the thirties and forties of last century, Xie Xingrao,Guo Tingyi, Meng Sen,Luo Ergang,Dong Zuobin and some other scholars had made fruitful researches on the Tai Ping Heavenly Kingdom, mainly made clear the calendar and its principles and testified the calendar to have one day fall short compared with lunar and solar calendars. Based on older generations' studies, scholars have further developed the content of calendar research and made more plentiful accomplishment after the founding of the People's Republic of China. But this is not the end of the calendar research.
