A novel solution of wireless AIS data terminal was proposed.Data were sent to wireless LAN by AIS host through AIS wireless data terminal, and AIS data could be acquired by any node by means of wireless access to the wireless LAN.Tests were made on a portable terminal with application software,AIS data were successfully parsed and AIS chart was generated. The solution provides a more flexible method to acquire AIS data, and improves the efficiency of the pilots.
