Ying Zhang · Shandong Foreign Language Teaching Journal · 2012

The author re-raises the much discussed topic in the academic circles of China, especially the foreign languages circles: the Two-Skin Puzzle between Chinese and English language studies. There have been ever centralized discussions let alone those from time to time. However, with decades of years passed, the puzzle has still not been cracked radically. When Prof.Pan Wenguo recently re-raised the topic,Prof.Zhou Lingshun's two books on Chinese and English separately got published.Inspired by these, the author of the paper takes Prof.Zhou's books and his path of research as an example to conclude that the Two-Skin Puzzle can be cracked somewhat. The author hopes for some inspirations for young scholars.
