Analysis on current sheet structure in magnetotail:application of Matlab Web Server in virtual laboratory for space physics

A Virtual Laboratory for Space Physics(VLSP) is constructed based on Matlab Web Server and World-Wide Web (WWW) and the onboard data analysis system is briefly introduced.The concrete realization of the current sheet structure analysis module is addressed by employing a specific example.Applying the current sheet analysis module in VLSP,the flapping motion and the structure of the current sheet near reconnection diffusion region in the near-earth tail on August 6,2003 is studied in detail. The VLSP introduced here is well functioning and is apt to be extended to other facets,presenting great facilitation to researchers.
