Application of Event Service in CORBA/SNMP Gateway

As a new generation of distributed computing standard, CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) solves the prob-lems that how to manage the telecommunication in the heterogeneous environment. However, it is a problem for telecommunications man-ufacturers that how to use CORBA technology to be compatible with the existing telecommunications network. CORBA/SNMP gateway isan economical and efficient solution to this problem. This article provides the solution that in CORBA/SNMP gateway, how to use theCORBA event service to report the equipment failure, urgent alarms to the manager. So the manager can process the problems.
