Research on Image Contrast Enhancement Algorithm for Underwater Environment

Considering the fact that when collecting the underwater images,the reflection and scattering of water surface can cause image contrast decrease,a new algorithm based on discrete stationary wavelet transform was proposed to enhance both image contrast and denoising.Experimental results show that this algorithm can restrain white noise in the image effectively while enhancing the contrast of underwear image.
