3G mobile equipment requires implementing not only speech services and low-speed data traffic, but also the increasing mobile multimedia services such as picture and video.3G-324M is the first multimedia terminal standard based on the circuit-switch suitable for 3G,which supports the MPEG-4 coding due to its high compress efficiency and error-tolerance features. The performance test is carried out based on the research of the MPEG-4 code algorithms.
