Geotechnical Engineering Optimization of CS-4 Compressor Station in Kazakstan

CS-4 Compressor Station is located in the loess area with the collapsibility ofⅠ~Ⅱdegree in Kazakstan.Collapsible loess is very easy to induce collapse and uneven settlement under the combined actions of self-weight and extraneous water.Buildings on collapsible loess foundations once damaged are very difficult to be restored.In this paper,the correction of unqualified primary geotechnical survey report,design optimiza-tion of foundation treatment,construction control and optimization,and foundation detection of CS-4 Compressor Station Project are introduced.With these measures taken,foundation treatment period was shortened by two months,the building safety was ensured and the great economic loss was avoided.
