Design and Realization of Underground Monitoring and Control System Based on Zigbee + Wifi

According to a single protocol applied to the present underground monitoring and control system could not consider the rational utilization of the network resources,the reduction of the energy consumption,the improvement of the transmission rate and other problems,a monitoring and control system of the wireless sensor network was designed based on the zigbee + wifi mixed type protocol.Non video data of the system would be transmitted with the zigbee protocol and could be transmitted to the surface ground monitoring and control center with the cluster type chain wireless network.The video and audio information could be transmitted with the wifi protocol.The mixed zigbee and wifi could uttermost reduce a high cost and high power consumption of the single wifi and the real time difference problem of the video and audio data transmitted with the single zigbee protocol.The actual application results showed that the monitoring and control system with the stated mixed protocol wireless network could highly improve the reliability and safety of the system.
