Traffic Characteristic and its Evaluation Method of Urban Arterial Streets Based on Two-fluid Approach

Based on two-fluid approach, this paper presents a traffic model for urban arterial streets, giving an estimation function which reflects the LOS, and traffic evaluation system. Finally, it gives an example in application. The method is simple and applicable, and can help the urban management to supervise the traffic and to take effective measures.
