The digital camouflages show better concealing adaptability owing to its irregular and un smooth edge feature. To efficiently achieve practical digital camouflage,a camouflage algorithm using error diffusion(E-D) dither halftoning was present based on the traditional camouflages method. It carried out fuzzy c means(FCM) clustering analysis on original camouflage image to ascertain the dominant colors, with the RGB pixel components as eigenvalues. And the traditional camouflage was converted to the digital format using images zooming,Gaussian filtering and E-D dither halftoning.Experimental results show that, the output camouflage can not only keep the color distribution and texture characters of original image, but also have the irregular and dentate edge, thus effectively improves the concealing capability of camouflage.
