The Application of Time Series Analysis Method in Psychology Research

In the background of conventional transverse research,longitudinal research methods haven't been widely applied in the field of psychology in China.Along with the development of psychology,researchers can't be satisfied with the simple description of phenomenon,transverse data information analysis and differences test,but want to study the inner dynamic mechanism of human's mentality,so longitudinal study more and more attracts researchers' attention.The time series analysis method is one of the most important methods in the field of psychology.The important value of this method lies that it can not only compare the tendency among variables,make sure the relation between dynamic variables and the cause and effect,but can forecast and control human's mentality and behavior.Although the theory is very complicated,needs a long process to test and record,and operates not easily,it still has very significant application value.In foreign countries,a series of theoretical and applied advances have been made recently.The time series analysis is not only a study idea,but also a new method of data analysis,it gets close to human's true mentality,and helps researchers to make more deepening study in the field of psychology.
