Self-adaptive Middleware Framework Based on Performance Requirement

This paper analyzes the model of component resource requirement and dependence relations between them which affect the Quality of Service(QoS).It presents a self-adaptive middleware framework which can react to workload changes dynamically and self-adaptively tune server configuration parameters to preserve the application QoS.This framework adopts backtracking algorithms to search for the best configuration to satisfy performance requirement.Results of experiment using information query system as test case show that the application performance can be improved by this framework.
