Performance Study of S-MAC Protocol in Wireless Sensor Network

This paper proposes a Markov chain model for performance analysis and evaluation of S-MAC protocol.The model uses the moment generating function and signal flow graph to analyze MAC access delay of S-MAC protocol.M/G/1/K queuing model is applied for performance analysis of the protocol in non-saturation condition.Mathematical analysis and simulation experimental results demonstrate the model can describe the access way of S-MAC protocol well.
