A feeder automation technology based on rough set theory

Feeder automation(FA) is an important part of power distribution network(PDN). First the PDN and FA are analyzed, then a feeder terminal unit(FTU) FA mode is studied based on the multi-agent system(MAS). The effective feeder protection according to different feeder fault can be realized by fault diagnosing module based on rough set theory. The fault can be diagnosed accordance with decision rules when complex faults occur or uncertain factors appear, such as mal-operation, miss operation and missing messages because of channel disturbance. Error acceptance of system is improved effectively.
