Digital Image Encryption Method Based on Random Scrambling in Bit Planes

Dai Hong · Journal of Shanghai Second Polytechnic University · 2009

To reach the scrambling aim of combination of pixels positions interchange and their values change,a random image scrambling method based on bit planes is proposed.A gray image is divided into several bit planes, which can be shuffled by a random scrambling algorithm. The scrambled image is reconstructed from those shuffled bit plane images.Experiments show that the algorithm is effective and has better efficiency and steady scrambling degree than the Arnold transform.
