Cellular Automata Based High-Speed Key Generation

Key management is the core of the symmetric cryptographic communication ,and the key generation method is the foundation of the key management.This paper introduces the traditional methods of key generation.Based upon the propeties of cellular automata with input boundary,a method of high-speed key generation based on cellular automata is presented,and its statistical properties are studied .Simulation has illustrated that the cellular automata based high-speed key generation not only has desired statistical properties (0/1 balance),but also is independent of architecture.
