New Development of 3S in Digital Earth Era

The theory of 3S integration is the technical theory basis of the latest Earth Information Science. Gen-erally speaking,the 3S integration is thought a new technology that integrates GIS,RS and GPS observation technologies to the earth. In this paper,each new characteristic in the era of digital earth,and the application in the practice are analyzed from the technical characteristics and development history of 3S.
