TL16C550 is the universal asynchronous communications chip.With TL16C550,highspeed serial communication between DSP and PC can be completed,which can meet the requirements of realtime processing in communication system.The paper introduced pins and related registers of TL16C550 simply,and provided the hardware circuit between TMS320VC5402 and TL16C550 and the initialization routine for TL16C550 in detail.
