An Algorithm of Signal Detection and Symbol Timing Recovery in Burst-mode Transmission

This paper presents a signal detection and symbol timing recovery algorithm,which can perform signal detection and symbol timing recovery at the same time and operate under the condition of lower signal-to-noise,larger carrier frequency deviation and larger signal dynamic range compared with common algorithms.The method is readily implemented in burst-mode transmission.The paper discusses the algorithm based on the known theory and gives the implementation structure of the system.It also gives the computer simulation result of the algorithm.
