The history of bio engineering theory and practice of prevention and controll against debris flow is reviewed concisely.On the basis of that,the present progress of the bio engineering theory and practic of prevention and controll against debris flow is summed up over decade years.Finally,the important problems demanding prompt solution of study on the bio engineering of prevention and controll against debris flow are put forward.
