Study on f8/f9 Algorithm of the 3rd Generation Mobile Communication

Security Mode Control(SMC) specified in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project(3GPP) has two types of process:one is the signaling integrity protection,and the other is the subscriber data encryption.The algorithms for these two processes are different.The f9 algorithm is used for the signaling integrity protection and the f8 algorithm is used for the subscriber data encryption.In-depth analysis is made on these two algorithms in this paper.
