Through the analysis of the process of building a dike and actual investigation of dike shape. Compare the different abilities to impound water between the real dike shape and the ideal dike shape. Pointed out facters to get ideal dike shape by furrow diking machine and the existing problems in current furrow diking machines. Put forward ways to improve the dike shape and increase soil compactness by adding soil compaction plate on the flip shovel. Also analyzed and discussed how the soil compaction plate's shape affected the dike shape. Then, obtained the best shape of the soil compaction plate was circular arc and the radius was 7.5 cm. Make foundation to the furrow diking techniques and the related device research and development.
