Application of software R in the geographic information system.

Software R is an open source software.The number of statistical methods implied in most GIS is not comparable to those founded within R.So it is a suitable software for most of the forestry researchers.Software R provides support for the gene sequence analysis,environmental analysis,pollution analysis,and geomantics.There are many extension packages in R,namely the RArcinfo,Maptools and spdev.Once the Geodata are imported into R,users can use several packages to perform analyses on the data,access the databases to integrate new data and other interesting possibilities,which increase the spectrum of statistical tools available to developing data.
