Sound synthesis technique by physical modeling has recently become an important domain of science on digital simulation of acoustics. The physical model for membrane musical instruments is derived by the main vibrating structure of instruments in form of a two-dimensional vibration equation. The limitation of a famous traditional model was discussed by theories and experimentations. As a result, a new physical modeling is supposed and implemented for purposes of sound synthesis.
